Japanese at Kalamazoo

Professors: Shiomi, Sugimori, Walker

The Japanese program offers courses in the language and culture of Japan. On campus, students can take eight courses in Japanese language over three years, as well as courses in Japanese literature, linguistics, cinema, and popular culture. Students are strongly encouraged to begin the study of Japanese in their first year. TAs (visiting international students) from Japan enrich the language learning process.
